<h2><strong>Ananas (Pineapple) Melon Seeds</strong></h2>

<div>The Ananas Melon, known in France as "Ananas D'Amerique a Chair Verte" is one of the most popular heirloom melons grown in the United States today and is also widely grown in the Middle East. The word "Ananas", is present both in the French and Italian languages both literally translate to mean "Pineapple" in English, so another common name for this variety is Pineapple Melon. </div>
<div>What is known however, is that the Ananas Melon was mentioned in M. M. Vilmorin-Andrieux's book "The Vegetable Garden" published in 1885. Vilmorin's book presents a colored plate depicting the variety. Reportedly, Thomas Jefferson was growing the Ananas Melon at his estate Monticello in 1794, while American seed companies began offering the variety commercially as early as 1824. In the years since, this wonderful melon variety became rare, but was presumedly re-discovered in a French seed bank.</div>

<div>The Ananas Melon features a light green colored flesh. The interior is firm, very sweet to the taste and is highly perfumed. The scent of the Pineapple Melon is reminiscent of a ripe pineapple, hence its name "Ananas" or Pineapple Melon. Each melon is approximately 5 pounds and has an oval shape with a netted skin. The melons are produced on a very vigorous large vine. </div>

<p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;">The poblano is a mild chili pepper originating in the state of Puebla, Mexico. Dried, it is called ancho or ancho chile, from the Mexican Spanish name ancho ("wide") or chile ancho ("wide chile"). Stuffed fresh and roasted it is popular in chile relleno. While poblanos tend to have a mild flavor, occasionally and unpredictably, they can have significant heat. Different peppers from the same plant have been reported to vary substantially in heat intensity. The ripened red poblano is significantly hotter and more flavorful than the less ripe, green poblano. A closely related variety is the mulato, which is darker in color, sweeter in flavor, and softer in texture.</span></p>

<p>The tomato Andine Cornue (in translation: Horn of the Andes) is one of the original tomato varieties from the Andes, introduced several years ago by a French collector. Traditional variety, very appreciated for its excellent organoleptic qualities, it is regarded as one of the best tomatoes. The average weight of the fruit is about 150-250 grams but can range up to 400 grams. The fruits are raspberry-colored and are very resistant to cracking, super-sweet and tasty fruit, with no acidity, with few seeds and excellent flavor. Fruits are ripening after 80 days. The plants reach the height from 120 to 180 centimeters, robust very productive.</p>

<p>Apple tomato is an excellent high-yielding variety of tomato that gives fruits of uniform weight weighing 45 to 55 grams. The fruits are in clusters of up to 10 fruits, bright red in color, the shape of the fruit itself is very reminiscent of an apple, so because of its appearance, this tomato was named apple tomato. This variety of tomato gives sweet and juicy fruits (resistant to cracking) which are excellent for fresh consumption, salads as well as for barbecue.</p>
<p>The plants are strong with indeterminate growth, and do not need any special care.</p>
<p>This year, 2020, we grew this tomato for the first time, and we were delighted with both the taste and the amount of fruit, obtained per plant.<br>We grew this tomato in a greenhouse and in the open field, and in both cases there was no difference in terms of taste or yield.</p><script src="//cdn.public.n1ed.com/G3OMDFLT/widgets.js"></script>

It is obvious to everyone but us that this fruit comes from Argos, people seem surprised that we aren't familiar with this melon. They say to us very slowly "Argitiko, from Argos". Argos is a city in the Northern Peloponnese, and has a reputation for being extremely fertile. I have been told that they have a great market day in the city that is not to be missed if you like fresh produce. Argos has been continuously inhabited for more than 7000 years, since the days of Ancient Greece.</p>
<p>Enough with your Greek history lesson for the day.</p>
<p>What you need to know is that if you encounter an Argitiko Peponi you should buy one, because they taste fantastic. They look like a cantaloupe when you cut them open, but they are as sweet as candy with some floral overtones. They have a wonderful scent, even if they are sitting uncut in your kitchen.</p>

Deze aantrekkelijke, knapperige komkommer, die in de jaren 1400 vanuit Armenië naar Italië werd geïntroduceerd, blijft zoet, zelfs als het fruit groot is.<br><br>Deze komkommers met een dunne schil en dicht vruchtvlees hebben weinig zaden en een aangenaam milde smaak. Meloen met een smaak als komkommer is eigenlijk smakeloos en licht verteerbaar. Net als de Engelse komkommer hoeft hij niet geschild of gezaaid te worden.<br>Het groeit even goed op de grond of op een latwerk. De vrucht groeit ongeveer 72-90 cm (30-36")<br><br>Jajik is een traditioneel Armeens gerecht dat vaak Armeense komkommers gebruikt en van generatie op generatie wordt doorgegeven. Dit bijgerecht is gemaakt met komkommer, yoghurt en knoflook of munt en wordt in de zomer vaak geconsumeerd om de hoge temperaturen buiten te bestrijden.
